What does an E-Commerce Website entail? An E-commerce website has all the components of an informational website, but will also provide pictures or descriptive information on your particular products or services. Some additional components involved in an e-commerce website are as follows: Database - To hold customer information and products Secure Sockets Layer - encrypted protection for user password, credit card and other personal informaiton. ProPay or PayPal account - An account which allows internet acceptance and transfer of credit card information. Shopping Cart technology - This will allow users to select products for purchasing - just like a shopping cart at the grocery store. How Do I Get Paid?
